THE PLAN!!

We are a non profit organization that is looking to help children who are grieving the loss of a parent around the world.  Our ultimate goal is to open help centers in various states that provides counseling and recreational activities to children in need that has also experienced a lifelong tragedy.  The Taylor Blanding Association wants to impact children that already have a negative outlook on life.  We want to make their lives as positive as we can.  We will be guiding these children to realize even though they are missing an important factor in growing up, they can still enjoy life.

We will provide educational resources such as tutoring, and homework assistance, with this we are able to make sure our children are being fully educated.  It is noticed that kids that suffer such a loss sometimes daydream while in school, and the teachers continue teaching and testing when they never had the child's full attention.  This develops in low test scores, leading to low grades, which results in children held back, this also causes the child to feel less confident.  We are a strong believer in "NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND", therefore we will assist where it is needed so that our children can grow in confidence and keep up with their classmates.

We also want to provide activities in areas of sports, dance, music, arts, health and fitness.  We would like for our children not only to be educated but it is also important for them to explore any inner talents they may have.  At times children are talented and are unaware of it because it has not been explored.  The Taylor Blanding Association will tap into any talent a child may or may not have and make sure they are aware of it.  In doing so, it will also build confidence in our children.

The final goal in our plan is Birthdays and Holidays, we want this to be a special addition to our programming.  We would like to celebrate EVERY one of our children's birthdays, with a party and presents.  It is sad knowing that some kids get the best birthdays that are televised for all other  children to see, then there are other children that can only hope for a birthday cake.  We understand that financial demands are in need for some parents to provide a birthday party for their children.  When this demand is not met, alot of times it leaves the child thinking if they didn't lose a parent then they would have a birthday.  We want to help those kids that are already grieving the loss of a parent, to celebrate their birthdays and not be reminded of the loss they are grieving.   Along with birthdays we will be celebrating holidays, with trips, presents, meals, parties and gifts.

The Taylor Blanding Association will perform intense screening for any staff members that come aboard to assist our children.  We plan to have a team of cooks, counselors, coaches, instructors, social workers, mentors, administration, tutors and a registered nurse.  In our help centers we plan to have a library, basketball court, and cafeteria.  We also need rooms for dance, art, music, health and fitness.

We believe in our success to make a difference in children's lives around the world.  Our passion is to see children happy while they are grieving and prospering in life.  We will guide them to their dreams and aspirations while nurturing them to become successful adults.  We want this for all of our children, regardless of their hard times as a child.  Our board of directors has the same goals in mind and are looking forward to assisting with the growth of The Taylor Blanding Association.

The Charity for Children

Hello My Friends:

This post is an introduction to a charity that was founded by me.  Here is where everything that I researched becomes valid.  The tools and resources that I discovered and wrote about will become very necessary for an important cause.

This Charity is for children that suffered the loss of a parent.  There are children all over the world that have to grow up without their parents.  We speak to the heart of those children.  We know there could are many cases where the parent or parents are absent for many different reasons.  This charity is reaching out to the kids that are suffering a more permanent loss.  We want to help those kids that had to grieve a loving parent in their adolescent years.

We want to create an atmosphere where the children we are in touch with see the reasons to be positive and strong.  Losing a parent as a child is very challenging for them, all they understand is they are dead and not coming back.  Some children are taught to believe mommy and/or daddy is with god, but what does that mean to them.  They still ask the questions of "Why can't God send my daddy back"?  They are sometimes taught that their mommy and/or daddy is watching over them and is still with them.  They still will state "I wish my daddy was here".  It is these comments which manifested the idea of The Taylor Blanding Association.

The Taylor Blanding Association is a charity that is going to respond to these particular children. We understand that there are endless questions and emotions that the children will have.  We understand that they may not have many opportunities due to their situations.  We understand that children are faced with seeing other kids with both of their parents and feel a bit of emotion and grief for their missing parent.  We understand that sometimes the emotions are buried so deep that they tend to drift off in their own minds.  We understand that these very same emotions can cause a hindrance in their learning and concentration in school. We understand that ALL adults doesn't necessarily know how to respond to all of the angles of a grieving child.

The Taylor Blanding Association is going to respond to as many needs as we can for each child suffering this particular loss.  Our aim will be to keep our kids happy, we want to see as many smiling while grieving children as we can.  We will work hard to help where it is needed.  Tutoring for each child we register will be provided.  We will make sure that the child's birthdays and holidays will not be overlooked.  We are in our development stages and we are ready to start registering our children.  In our growth we will have help centers where the children will be able to attend and explore many activities such as, sports, music, arts and crafts, tutoring, mentoring, and dance.

The Taylor Blanding Association is a non - profit charitable organization that is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and registered with D&B.  As we grow we will share with you our developments.  We will sponsor events and fundraisers to expedite our growth.  Donations can be given to The Taylor Blanding Association at any Wells Fargo branch or by visiting the website www.givingthepower.com.  Our immediate needs will be tutors, we are signing up children now and want to make sure we have enough tutors to go around, if needed.

All potential volunteers and/or donors visit the website and fill out the contact sheet.  We would like to speak with you and thank you for your hand.  Meals will be served for all of our staff and children.
